Making and Thinking in the Intersection:
Conversations about Craft and Design
Melbourne Salon Conversations
Thursday 28 August, 5.00pm - 6.30pm
City Library Seminar Room.
July was claimed by "design" with its two festivals and August has been claimed by "craft" as "A Month About Making" by Craft Victoria. While craft making and thinking is often distinct to the process of designing and thinking for production, increasingly studio practices work across both paradigms with effective results. Join a small group of Melbourne's leading makers and designers as they tell their stories of working in the expanding intersections of craft and design.
Melbourne Salon Conversations are the 'little sister' of The Melbourne Conversations which are usually held at the BMW edge. City Library's intimate Seminar Room space allows for lively audience discussion with the presenters, and mingling time after! Please book by calling City Library on 96589500. RSVPs are essential as places are very limited to these exclusive bi-monthly 'chats'. |
